Petar Tavich has been playing guitar his whole life and have developed a deep passion for a wide range of musical styles. His experience spans numerous genres, but he most frequently finds himself immersed in jazz, funk, and R&B, performing with various bands around Wellington. Currently, Petar is in his last semester of study, majoring in jazz guitar, where he has honed his skills and expanded his musical vocabulary. Over the past three years, Petar has also been an active member of big bands and other large ensembles, which has enriched his understanding of complex arrangements and group dynamics.
In addition to performing, Petar has been teaching guitar for several years and has developed a personalised approach to lessons. He believes that learning should be tailored to each student’s interests, and he is eager to dive into any genre or technique that excites them. Whether you are interested in exploring the intricate harmonies of jazz, the groove of funk, or any other style, he is there to guide you through your musical journey.
