Kerry Wood, Music B Violin Performance, LTCL Piano
Kerry has over 15 years of teaching experience. She teaches students of all ages piano and violin. She enjoys helping them achieve personal goals with their instruments and with preparation for exams.
Kerry completed her Bachelor of Music in Christchurch after which she moved to Wellington to attend Schola Musica. She achieved her Grade 8 theory qualification and LTCL qualification in piano. She has played with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Wellington Symphony and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. A highlight of her classical music career was a tour of Europe with the Christchurch Cathedral Choir and Orchestra.
Kerry has also had many years playing professionally in folk bands around New Zealand and is currently a member of the celebrated Wellington based, Eastern-European folk group Balkany.
