Drama Tutor

Hannah Kelly (she/her) is an actor, tutor, and voice artist based here in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. She is a graduate from the Victoria University theatre programme and John Bolton’s Theatre School in Melbourne. 

Hannah joined the Rātā team in late 2024 and has loved being part of the team, working with students and sharing her passion each week.  

She has previously tutored and mentored at Victoria University and Toi Whakaari, and teaches drama classes for the theatre and film company Silver Noodle Soup (SNS). Recently, Hannah had the privilege of directing the debut work The Old Cold Hearts Club for SNS at The Hannah Playhouse, her first foray into directing. 

Hannah’s recent work as an actor includes Binge Culture’s Werewolf, which has had sold-out seasons as part of the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe at Summerhall, 2026 Aotearoa Festival of the Arts, and Auckland Arts Festival. This year, Werewolf will do a return season at Edinburgh Fringe, as well as a tour to Aberdeen, Brisbane, and continue to tour nationally. Last year, she toured EBKM’s acclaimed production Yes Yes Yes to Australiaa show for young people centred around consent, desire, and healthy relationships.
