Ebed Pohl is an award-winning emerging cinematographer based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Creating films since the age of 10, Ebed graduated from Massey University in 2021, and has gone on to work as the cinematographer on the short film The Watson Journals, for which he has won seven awards.
With a varied body of work, from short films and TV pilots to music videos, Ebed has a keen sense for story and tone. Also a writer and director, in 2025 Ebed co-directed the Toi Film Birthday Girls. Ebed combines his directing and cinematography skills to use lighting and camera to enhance actors’ performance.
