Andreas Lepper is a highly respected percussionist and educator with over four decades of experience in the New Zealand arts scene. A former tutor at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, Andreas specializes in the intersection of rhythm, movement, and performance presence.
With a deep background in Caribbean, Latin American, and Balkan traditions, he has collaborated with icons ranging from Vanessa-Mae to Don McGlashan. For actors and screen performers, Andreas focusses on developing a “musical ear” and physical groundedness – essential tools for mastering the internal rhythm of a scene and the technical timing required for the screen. Through his extensive work in community music and professional theater, he remains a master at helping performers find their pulse and enhance their collaborative energy.
