Brighid has loved making art from the time she could crayon on the living room walls as a child… Today, she is an accomplished mixed-media artist working primarily with charcoal, collage, paint, and clay.
Her background as a registered psychologist and community development worker deeply informs her practice, inspiring whimsical, imaginative work that explores connection, belonging, and how we relate to the world.
A passionate advocate for community arts, Brighid co-founded The Creative Itch Artists Collective and the Island Bay Arts Group. Her work has been featured in over 20 galleries and art trails, and can be found in selected retail stores across New Zealand.
