Violin lessons for all ages
About Anne Kim
Anne attended the Royal College of Music in London (UK) on a full ABRSM scholarship to complete her BMus (HONS) and also completed her Masters of Violin Performance, studying with Radu Blidar. Before she left for the UK, Anne studied in New Zealand with Yury Gezentsvey (Principal First Violinist of NZSO) and Vesa-Matti Leppänen (Concertmaster of NZSO).
When Anne returned to New Zealand in 2013, she freelanced with the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra during her university studies at Otago University. As well as her experience teaching students of all ages privately in London, Anne has also been teaching violin at the Saturday Morning Music Classes programme in Dunedin since 2016. Anne is currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Otago (Wellington Campus).
Anne sees it as her job to facilitate the student’s ability to realise their musical potential and tap into their inner artist! Everyone has natural musicality and creativity inside of them, and through good, solid violin technique, it can be expressed and enjoyed for a lifetime.
