About Gemma Hoskins

Gemma is a seasoned Wellington performer. She has over 20 years’ experience in musical theatre productions, most recently performing the role of Glinda – alternate in Wicked (St James Theatre, 2023) and Fantine in Les Misérables (St James Theatre, 2022). Other performance highlights include Miss Saigon (Ellen), Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), Underscore_, The Gleevent, Grease, Mamma Mia, Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Misérables (Cosette). 

Alongside musical theatre, Gemma has performed at weddings and private functions as well as public events such as Wellington’s Carols by Candlelight, and has acted in short films and TV advertisements. She has recently worked with Seatoun School students ahead of their production of Seussical the Musical, and has run Glee Club classes with 6-8 year olds. As a vocal coach, Gemma will offer techniques to find strength and versatility in your voice, and will also work with you on the storytelling aspect of your performance.
