Girl Powered Programming | ages 8-12

Rata’s latest addition to the Creative technology opportunities is something just for girls! 

Follow in the footsteps of great coders such as Ada Lovelace, Grace Hopper, and the female programmers of today in this girl-focused course.

Students will use their creativity to code original mini-games using Scratch, a visual programming language.  Students will learn how to create virtual pet games and multi-level adventure games, they will then put their skills to the test as they create their original mini-games.  We will explore character creation, game mechanics, and the importance of Open Source game development.
