On this course you will learn a very specific approach to landscape painting in acrylics that ANYONE can follow.
You will learn about paint properties and brush technique, and then work through a number of practical exercises as you gain confidence in the medium. You will then apply your new skills to paint a scene of your choice.
Scene selection - what constitutes an attractive landscape painting
Colour theory and the effective use of a limited palette
Brush skills, transparency and layering, accuracy and accidentals
Drawing the scene, and a few tips in this area with an interesting historical perspective

Brian Nelson has a Masters of Fine Arts.
He teaches graphics and workshop technology at Scots College. Prior to that he was a graphic designer and illustrator for over 20 years.
